"Seascapes" at Scope Art Fair
Miami - USA - 2015
2501's pieces for this show had been produced in New York City and shown in Miami. The works employ different techniques and expressions of abstraction in their approach to motion, patterns and cycles, inspired by Roy Lichtenstein's 1960s Seascapes series, where the latter "abandons paint to work with Rowlux plastic, shaping and molding it into iridescent, bubblegum-colored waves, overlapping into layers that move with the viewer" (cf. Sophie Gilbert, "Roy Lichtenstein: A Retrospective at the National Gallery of Art", 2012) .
